Summaries on a Page (SOAPs)

The “Summaries on a Page – New Zealand Equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards” (“SOAPs NZ IFRS”) have been compiled to assist the user with gaining a high-level overview of the respective New Zealand Equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards (“NZ IFRSs”), which include the Interpretations to the New Zealand Equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards (“NZ IFRICs”).

The NZ IFRSs and NZ IFRICs contained herein include all standards and interpretations currently in issue at the time of printing of this binder.

Although every effort is made to provide accurate and timely information, there is no guaranteeing that such information is accurate as of the date it is received or that it will continue to be accurate in the future.

The SOAPs NZ IFRS are not a substitute to the user reading and gaining a thorough understanding of the NZ IFRS standards and interpretations.

It is intended that the SOAPs NZ IFRS will be updated from time to time to take into account any new NZ IFRS standards and interpretations or amendments to the NZ IFRS standards and interpretations.

Please note that as it is intended for a user to add in and replace SOAP NZ IFRSs from time to time we have intentionally not included any page numbering on the SOAP NZ IFRSs. Instead, a user should refer to this contents page to determine which version of the SOAPs NZ IFRS are currently effective.

Each SOAP NZ IFRS has a version number included in the top right hand corner. Users should check the version number on the SOAPs NZ IFRS against this Contents Page to determine if the most up to date version is included in the Binder. Update versions of this Contents page will be made available at www.bdo.co.nz

If an NZ IFRS standard or interpretation has been revised with a future effective date, the revised standard or interpretation has also been included and is differentiated by (R) after the relevant standard or interpretation number.
