In a pioneering initiative for Australasia, we address the pressing issue of climate change and its influence on corporate governance. This meticulously crafted workshop developed by the Institute of Directors (IoD), is designed to meet the needs of BDO clients, and enhance the strategic acumen and capabilities of company directors wanting to build an organisation's strength, resilience, and best practice.

Workshop details

Wednesday 22 May, 8.30am – 5pm
BDO Auckland CBD office, 4 Graham Street

By the end of this course attendees will have the knowledge to;

  • Assess climate change governance issues currently facing organisations in NZ
  • Understand the significance of appraising and managing climate-related risks to ensure business resilience and continuity
  • Describe tools and frameworks to identify and assess risks
  • Identify and monitor climate-related regulations and emerging standards to ensure the board is meeting these
  • Effectively contribute to a sustainable and equitable future


The course includes three self-paced modules that IoD will provide access to, over the forthcoming weeks, once registered.

Module 1: Putting climate change in perspective
Module 2: Climate Change Governance
Module 3: Tools and framework

It is recommended that Module 1, if not all 3, are completed before the workshop. However, you will have access for 6 months and can compete after the workshop.

Cost: $645 + gst. Registration confirmed once payment is received.
